Abstract

The achievement of learning built from the protagonism of students requires the development of skills, behaviors, values, aptitudes and attitudes, through study, teaching, experience, reasoning; These processes are promoted through research. From this context, the objective arose to analyze the research competencies of human physiology students at the medical school of the University of Zulia, Venezuela. The theoretical postulates of Hernández et al. were considered. (2021), Zacarías et al. (2021), Ayala (2020), among others. The investigation was framed within the interpretive paradigm with qualitative methodology following a phenomenological route: through interviews with key informants (teachers, students), we delved into the reality of the learning process related to the acquisition of investigative skills that generate practical learning. specialized and research skills. The interpretation of the results was carried out through the transcription of the responses, main ideas were extracted and, through a reduction process, the category was obtained: methodology for research and learning. As a final reflection, teachers and students would benefit their performances through didactic routes structured under awareness-raising processes, advice and teamwork.
