The work that is the subject of review is based on the Congress that was held with the same name at the Faculty of Law of the University of Oviedo -Spain- in the last quarter of 2019. In it, reference was made, to a large extent, to algorithms and their impact in multiple scenarios of daily life. Before entering into the subject itself, it is worth referring to what is meant by algorithm. The latter represents a list of established, unambiguous, regulated and finite instructions or rules that allow solving a certain problem, carrying out certain operations, processing data and certain activities. Although Law might seem alien to such a phenomenon - more typical of the pure sciences -, as we will see, this is not the case. Indeed, in the present work, its relationship with Law in a broad sense - public and private - is alluded to.
