Abstract

The challenges posed to ethics by current development problems have given rise to the holding of quite a few specialized meetings or sections in international ethics conferences and forums in recent years. This concern has had special interest in some Latin American countries, where such meetings (such as those in Caracas, February 2001 and June 2003) have delved into the theoretical aspects (B. Kliksberg, 2003) of development ethics, the ethical responsibilities of social actors (media, businessmen, economists, universities, church) and in experiences, considered advanced in religion, in educational, management and social development, among others.
