Abstract
The Florentine secretary, Nicolás de Machiavelli, never knew of the significance of his reflections addressed to the magnificent Lorenzo de Medicis five hundred years ago. And his recommendations, collected in The Prince and the substance of his thought, which from then on became known as "Machiavellianism", have served to write and rewrite the history of the city-states, states and republics that succeeded him. ; the art of doing politics, diplomacy, war and peace, however, also, life itself, as long as there are authors who find applicability in its lines.
