Abstract

Several international academic meetings and some specialized publications have recently discussed the challenges posed to ethics by current development problems. One of the recent works whose author is E. Martínez Navarro, defines the expression “Ethics for Development” (EpD) as the part of ethical reflection that seeks to guide the development processes of people. Implicit in this definition is that the goal of development is "the ethical desideratum that is proposed as a specific goal that must guide the efforts of people and institutions, as well as the relationships of peoples among themselves."
