Abstract

This study aims to analyze the differences that may exist between two currents, by definition antagonistic, in the field of scientific research. It was carried out based on a documentary review of the specific area. The advantages and disadvantages of both methods are presented in this work. As well as a series of theoretical-conceptual aspects. Concluding that both methods can be considered complementary to each other, which implies that the use of one does not exclude the possibility of using the other when necessary. Likewise, an integrative methodology is proposed that aims to reconcile the existing antagonism through the flexibility and adaptability of the methods.
