Abstract

The purpose of this research was to analyze the process of Decentralization of Science and technology that is currently being developed in the country, through the study of COPRE documents, starting it, with the relevance and location of Decentralization as an alternative to crisis of centralist management systems, with science and technology being the protagonist as a strategic factor in the life of the country. Concluding that decentralized management systems respond to the demands of the new scenario since they are made up of more institutional and legal instruments that allow civil society to be incorporated with greater intensity in the decision processes in this matter. Regarding the current institutional system of science and technology in Venezuela, this is presented as a series of activities carried out by various institutions and organizations in a dispersed and fragmented manner, preventing this situation from developing a policy that integrates these efforts.
