Resilience of the women victims of forced displacement in Colombia

The main objective of this research was: To examine the resilience of women victims of forced displacement in the Majayura neighborhood of the Riohacha district. Its specific objectives were: To reveal the factors that favor the Resilience process of women victims of forced displacement in the Majayura neighborhood; establish the danger factors in the Resilience process of women victims of forced displacement; Understand the consequences of forced displacement. Based on the theories of López and Venegas (2016), García-Vesga and Domínguez-de la Ossa (2013), Herscovici (2011), Gómez and Kotliarenco (2010), UNHCR (2020), Law 1448 of 2011, Victims Law and Land Restitution of victims of the internal armed conflict, among others. The research was developed under a qualitative approach, in the ethnographic tradition. As a data collection instrument, an interview complemented by observation and a field diary was carried out. Hermeneutics was used for categorical analysis. The analysis of the results showed for the categories, resilience of victim families and forced displacement, that women displaced by violence were resilient in the face of adversity and reacted flexibly; however, the Colombian State did not comply with the measures of legal protection of victims. In conclusion, favorable conditions were presented for the displaced due to their willpower, their family union, likewise, they knew how to rely on friends and the psychological guidance offered by the State, the little help from the government being negative, and they were also not given the reparation proposed in Law 1448 of 2011
