The general objective of this scientific article was to develop an automated system for the remote monitoring and control of the SDMO-J30U model electric generator. The theoretical bases were based on the theories of Ogata (2010), Forouzan (2007), Arias (2012), among others. The research was classified as descriptive with field and non-experimental design. For data collection, the technique used was the unstructured interview and direct observation, and the instrument used was the unstructured interview script and the observation script. For the results of the research, first the unstructured interview was applied to specialists in the energy area of Corporación Digitel, Transgrua, HGL Multiservicios and TELMACA, then the direct observation was carried out in Corporación Digitel, then the materialization of the system circuit was executed, the construction of the prototype and the performance and capacity for the correct integration of the hardware with the software of the same was evaluated. To conclude, a prototype of the automated system for remote monitoring and control of the electric generator model SDMO-J30U was developed in a feasible way and its technological development can have a positive impact on energy efficiency and monitoring of electric generators in various industries.
