Abstract

Throughout history, technological innovation has rapidly transformed the world. Organizations have had to adapt to technological changes to stay active, to have continuity in the future because there are forces of disruption and innovation that drive to be attentive (Schwab, 2020), all these changes impact positively or negatively to companies, regardless of their size. Likewise, the institutions providing health services had to adapt to all these processes presented due to the impact of the pandemic, which generated a social, economic, and health crisis, added to this, they have been forced to respond quickly and take urgent decisions to save lives. It is important to highlight that prioritizing care for patients infected with the new coronavirus (SARSCoV-2) has led to a reduction in the provision of health services to patients with other diseases. For this reason, care services needed to be reorganized, to respond to the enormous demand for care, this is where companies put technological innovation into practice, through teleconsultations, and telemedicine, among others, connecting convenience, low cost, and the easy accessibility of health-related information and communication through the Internet and associated technologies. The objective of this study was to establish a descriptive documentary review on technological innovation in health service provider institutions in times of covid 19.
