Abstract

The general objective of this research was to Analyze Public Policies for the protection of Women against Gender Violence, it was based on the theoretical contributions of Aguilar (1992), Hermosillo, (2017), Guarderas, (2016), Tello and Vargas. (2020), Wilson, (2019), Villagómez, (2019) Hidalgo, (2019), Cruz (2008), Vargas, L (2017), as well as the Constitution and other laws of Venezuela. It was framed in the positivist research paradigm, with a type of documentary research. In the same way, it relied on the Documentary method, which allowed the Proposal of public policies regarding the lives of women victims of violence by resorting to the comparative analogical method of various authors. The population was integrated by the normative texts, the documents of previous investigations. The observation technique of interviews with key actors was used, this being composed of Victims and Officials who live within the Judicial Circuit with jurisdiction in matters of Crimes of Violence Against Women, Maracaibo-Zulia state headquarters. It is concluded that public policies have a fundamental role in the fight against gender violence. However, to achieve real and lasting impact, it is necessary to adopt a comprehensive and multidimensional approach that addresses the structural causes of violence, ensures access to justice and services for victims, and promotes profound cultural changes.
