Communication, conflicts and peace: a pending agenda
Abstract
The topic of Communication, Conflicts and Peace is presented to us as a conceptual complex of great importance today. Crises and conflicts at a global level, and particularly in a country like Venezuela, present a panorama that places peace as an urgent issue on the communication agenda of understanding and actions for good coexistence. Peace is understood today as much more than the absence of war or violence, and is perceived as sustained and growing actions for good coexistence and well-being, based on principles of equity, respect, tolerance, and trust (UNESCO, 1994).
