Importancia de una política industrial acorde al contexto nacional en la cuarta revolución industrial: Lecciones de Japón para América Latina

A partir de una investigación documental, este artículo tiene por objetivo ofrecer una reflexión sobre las dificultades que han tenido algunos proyectos latinoamericanos de política industrial para tener éxito en el contexto de la cuarta revolución industrial, contrastando con el caso de Japón. Se parte de una breve caracterización general de lo que han sido las revoluciones industriales y las características de la llamada Cuarta Revolución Industrial. Posteriormente, se presentan de forma puntual dos intentos latinoamericanos de generación de ecosistemas de innovación e implementación de políticas industriales de amplio alcance, uno mexicano y uno ecuatoriano, y sus fallos. Esto se contrasta con el proyecto japonés Sociedad 5.0 y se reflexiona sobre la importancia de reconocer los problemas estructurales de cada sociedad y de una colaboración estrecha entre actores socioeconómicos para plantear una política industrial que se inserte en el contexto y tendencias mundiales, pero que atienda a las problemáticas nacionales.
