Green management and sustainable business models in Venezuelan private universities: a prospective perspective from Chirino's environmental management (2022)

The purpose of this review article was to analyze green management and sustainable business models in Venezuelan private universities, from the perspective of environmental management as defined by Chirino (2022), given that private higher education in Venezuela is experiencing a structural crisis that demands the reinvention of its administrative paradigms. This study aims to contrast the convergence between green management and sustainable business models to determine how the proactive planning of ecological components strengthens the financial and operational viability of these institutions. Methodologically, a qualitative documentary-bibliographic study was conducted, analyzing academic sources from the last five years. The main findings suggest that the adoption of eco-efficiency strategies, as well as the hybridization of technological services, allows private universities to mitigate environmental uncertainty. It was concluded that green management transcends bioethical commitment, positioning itself as a strategic tool for resilience and competitiveness in contexts of high economic volatility.
