Abstract

This article aims to analyze the impact of a quality management system applied in chemical
industry companies in Venezuela, based on theoretical contributions by Aguirre (2014),
Luthra et al. (2021), Leroy (2018), ISO 9001:2015, among others, who have referenced
the quality management system and continuous improvement, to be applied to the
management of chemical product companies seeking to overcome the adverse scenarios
currently present. To do so, a QMS must be established in accordance with the standards
of ISO 9001:2015. Documentary techniques and unstructured interviews were used to
collect information. This study was then conducted through a non-experimental research
design. The results obtained are used to define processes, roles and responsibilities, and
documentary procedures. Among the main outcomes, it will be verified that companies
must maintain records of their activities, as evidence of compliance, including quality,
training, and review records, all supported by senior management, who are responsible for
leading and supporting the implementation of the QMS, allocating resources, setting
objectives, and communicating the importance of quality.
