Abstract

This article aimed to analyze the innovative trends facing Maracaibo's artisanal
sector in the context of the creative economy. This sector has begun to experience significant change over the past decade thanks to this economic model that values
and promotes creativity, culture, and innovation as fundamental drivers of
development. A type of descriptive-analytical research was implemented, with a
positivist quantitative approach. Data were obtained once an instrument with thirty
six (36) items was implemented; the response alternatives that the respondent had
to answer were five (5), with a Likert-type scale. The results determined that while
there is a general recognition of the need for innovation, there are barriers that limit
some players' ability to adapt to these emerging patterns, implying that the sector
must address these disparities to fully capitalize on trends in market behavior. In
conclusion, fostering an environment that values and supports these innovations is
essential to strengthening the local creative economy. Therefore, the combination
of new products, innovation events, and the use of emerging technologies will not
only contribute to the sector's economic growth but will also ensure its cultural and
social relevance in the future.
